What If

What if
I imagined
the way that I am
as a gift,
not an obstacle
to be overcome.

And when we talk,
both losing
track of time ticking,
it is a gift to each,
being outside time.
Perhaps we don’t even age
for that hour or afternoon!

When I talk with you,
energy flows
through me to you,
through you to me,
for the benefit of both.
Can I see it this way?
Every day?
