My Love,

To lay with you in a darkened room
nested like similar-sized spoons

just as we did once long ago
but still in memory, though

we are different than we were
older true, wiser in some ways.

To love and allow love to amplify and return
to dive into dark and repeatedly back again.

To believe it is worth
putting one foot in front of the other

over and over…and together
breathe out and breathe in

being in
this time we have.
