Breathing

As I lie here
in this skin

breathing out
breathing in

breathing out
breathing in

my thoughts lazily
drift and bob

from this to that
stopping nowhere.

Thoughts are washed
as a wave washes
free debris,

depositing clean
pure sand on
the secluded shore.
